I bring a rich experience to my workplace as a UX designer with a vast multidisciplinary background of professional experience in sales, customer service, real estate, and fine art. I participated in 14 art shows internationally including in France, Italy, the U.S., and South Korea. My favorite mediums are watercolor and oil painting.

These experiences allow me to focus on the human-centered design approach as I have worked very closely with my clients at various levels across different fields. I am accustomed to asking clients for feedback constantly throughout a project to prioritize the needs and wants of the client I am serving.

If I were to describe myself in three words, that would be empathetic leadership, curiosity, and ambition. I have a strong drive to solve other people’s problems. This includes regular mentorship meetings with friends and other young designers trying to break into UX design by helping them with mock interviews, portfolio reviews, and sharing my experience. I realized that by helping others, I gain even more in the way of fulfillment, happiness, and knowledge.

Since I started my career in UX design, I have strived to go above and beyond in my work and dedicated my time to helping others. This means asking a lot of questions and making sure I’m not basing my decisions on my own bias whether it’s for a user or a team member, stepping up to take on more responsibility if the team needs more help because I learn better by doing, and providing guidance to those who may be just a few steps behind me in terms of their career development. Seeing other people succeed and be happy brings me a great sense of fulfillment, especially when my support and assistance contributed to their success in any way. I believe in celebrating every small win whether it is about your personal journey or professional career development.

I am a pro hobbyist and when I find something I love, I dig deep. Things that I have spent a lot of time enjoying are a variety of video games, piano, house plants, boxing (I’m a UFC fan!), and making Korean rice wine. Makgeolli, or Korean rice wine, is my latest obsession and I have made 10 different batches of single-stage fermentation, tried new recipes with different grains, and experimented with double and triple-stage fermentation, as well as making chungju. I traveled to South Korea to learn more about the art of making rice wine, visited breweries in the countryside, and brought back even more new ideas and recipes. I spend a lot of my free time outside of work perfecting my rice wine craft. If you are ever in town near Phoenix, AZ, and want to try a sip of my rice wine, don’t hesitate to just ask! 😉
